With Gods Grace Needs A New Truck

With God’s Grace need your help…Our 24ft box truck has seen its last days. As many of you know the liftgate went out last month. We tried to fix it a few times but due to the original part is no longer available we keep putting a bandaid on it, till it breaks again. On Monday our truck decided it would not start and once again left us having to use our smaller truck, that has no liftgate and only hold six skids. With God’s grace packed 9 skids on our small truck for Monday night mobile and our volunteers had to hand unload each item off the truck. With God’s Grace has come to the decision it time to retire the 24 ft box truck due to the truck has provided 3 years of carrying food for our families. Our truck needs to replace the box, liftgate, kingpins, and new front tires, and we have to figure out why it will not start. The cost to fix the truck will cost more than the truck is worth.

With God’s Grace is in need of automatic, 26 ft Box truck, with refrigeration and liftgate. We are planning to buy used due to new will cost $115,000 and up. We need to raise $20,000 to purchase a used truck. We are wanting to buy 26ft truck instead of 24 ft truck due to we can get 2 more skids on the truck for our mobile locations. Last year from January 1 to December 31 With God’s Grace handed out 2,713,319.87 pounds of food, which meant 42,635 families or 124,940 people had food on to put on the table. Why are Family meals important.

On Monday Autumn evening With God’s Grace was providing 120 families in Vandalia, Ohio with healthy dinners for their families. Why are Family meals important. Family meals provide an opportunity for family members to come together, strengthen ties and build better relationships. They build a sense of belonging which leads to better self-esteem. With God’s Grace would like to thank all of our volunteers for providing families in our community, family dinners and helping to promote stronger families in our community.
